About Us

Golden Era Aviation is an aircraft charter, freight, aerial work, and warbird experience flight service provider based at Regina International Airport. We also operate regularly from Saskatoon International Airport. These strategic locations allow us to serve Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, and the USA effectively.

Our founder and Operations Manager, Mike, brings over 25 years of industry experience, with our senior team members collectively boasting nearly 100 years of aviation expertise. We understand the value of time and the need for prompt, reliable transportation. That’s why we created Golden Era Aviation—to offer stress-free, timely air travel and freight services.

Private charter and freight services reduce the stress, hassle, and waiting time associated with traditional air travel. Arrive at our facility, park for free, enjoy complimentary drinks and snacks in our passenger lounge, and then board our meticulously chosen Beech 18 aircraft. This aircraft accommodates various services, from small airstrip operations to comfortable passenger transport reminiscent of the golden age of air travel in the 1950s and 60s.

At Golden Era Aviation, we aim to recreate that special air travel experience while maintaining modern standards and reliability. Trusting us with your air transport needs is not just another flight—it’s an experience like no other.

An Experience To Remember

Story of Our Acquisition

This C-FSRE was purchased in October of 2021. After sitting among trees for 16 years, we spent four weekends restoring it to be ready for flight.

Once back to being airworthy, C-FSRE was flown from Selkirk, Manitoba to Codette Lake in Nipawin Saskatchewan and then towed on beaching wheels some 6 miles to Nipawin Airport. This is where the aircraft was converted from its floats to wheels and all of the corrosion was removed. The propellers were sent away for overhaul and some engine repairs completed – a 7 month long project. Near the end of August 2022, the C-FSRE was flown to Saskatoon Airport where restoration began.
